Every member of our group did a suggest for character design. We discussed, which one´s the best and decided how the Game Engine looks like.

Game Design

After lots of discussions, we suited for the design of our game. Firstly, we wanted to do it in Cinema 4D but now we decided to shape our game in 2-dimensional isometric perspective. Every member of our group models himself in the shape of an appropriate gaming character - you will see them soon!

Gender Issues

Our game is a role play in which you can choose or create your character at the beginning of the game. We try to make the game gender neutral because it doesn´t depend if you are male or female - everybody should learn social skills and how to deal with fellow men.
In the virtual world are features for both gender. To give an example, we concentrate on having a shopping center as well as a car dealership. Although there is no conscious segregation of buildings which are only for men or women.
Furthermore, we take care of using cold and warm colors too to make the game appropriate for both gender.
Our target group are children aged 12+ because we believe that it is the best age for this learning process. The gamer is mature enough to understand social competences because it is a topic at their grade of school too.

Point of difference

The start of the game will be offline – in this case, the player has to deal with computer generated personalities. Only after the player has fulfilled some tasks and challenges, he is able to come in the level of the game from which on each level will be online and the personalities are in part computer generated but also real individuals, resp., real game players. This possibility is in any case a further challenge and will make the game increasingly exciting and up-to-the-minute.

Elevator Pitch

Our game is about social and interpersonal interaction with all its beauty, difficulty and abysses. The learning outcome for the player is to get social competence and a feeling for what is right or wrong in contact with other individuals – he learns how to do right in very different situations.

Learning Outcomes for the player

Each human/player should command social skills and is able to use them in the game. Thereby, the player will learn more about his own skills, knowledge and personality, based on his reactions.
Furthermore, the player will receive a lot of information about correct reactions in very different situations:
- outside and self defence (violence, insults, mobbing, sex assaults, ..)
- self help (burn out syndrome, problems with colleagues, ..)
- first aid instructions in case of different accidents (road traffic, household, school, .. )
- etc.
All in all, the social competence of the player will be increased.
